Add another key team to the commitment list for the 2021 Las Vegas National Tournament.

Team Captain Kenny Zeigler officially entered CTE into the 16-team tournament field on Thursday. CTE finished 2-1 in the 2019 tournament, just missing the cut for Championship Sunday. Due to a hand injury suffered in their opening game, Zeigler was forced to miss the remainder of the tournament. CTE’s Average PPV Team Payroll for the tournament was $9.6 million, ranking 17 out of 24 teams.

Danny Smith led CTE in scoring, averaging 19.6 points for the tournament.

Zeigler has competed in the Las Vegas National Tournament since its inception in 2012. He scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in his first tournament game as a member of CMD’s All-Stars.

Zeigler is feeling confident coming into the 2021 tourney.

“We’re the only tournament team to have defeated the last two tournament champions,” said Zeigler, referring to Select Imports (earlier version of CTE) 54-52 win over Ball So Hard in 2015 and CTE’s 65-60 win over X-Over in 2018.

The 2021 Las Vegas National Tournament will take place Oct. 16 & 17th at Life Time - Green Valley.
