Never Off Work from the 2019 National Tourney

Two more teams made their intentions to compete in the 2021 Las Vegas National Tournament official over the weekend.

Arizona’s BBQ Chicken and Never Off Work will be returning to Vegas in October to attempt to keep the Vegas National title in Arizona.

BBQ Chicken, led by team captain Vinnie Thepsourinthone, finished 2-1 in the 2019 tourney but failed to qualify for Sunday’s Elite Eight. Forward Alan Mitchell was dominant in BBQ’s three games, averaging 32.7 ppg and 12.7 rebounds.

Never Off Work was the runner-up in the 2019 tournament, losing to X-Over 84-80 in the Championship Game. Team captains Chris Walker and Durwin Williams Jr. are keeping their roster under wraps at this time. N.O.W. fans are hoping stars Demetrius Baugh and Isaiah Lopez will return to the team.

The addition of BBQ and N.O.W. leaves eight open spots when general registration opens on July 15th. The remaining who teams who registered for the postponed 2020 tourney have until Friday, July 9th to pre-register.
