WESTWOOD: Week 5 Predictions

By David Jordan | Westwood Media Associate

We’re past the halfway point in the season. With three week’s left in the regular season, teams are tuning up for the playoffs. As we look over the power rankings, you can point out a few teams that are sure to be upset in the next few weeks. The top two teams in the power ranking (Ea$y Money & Legacy) have proven themselves to be worthy foes. Outside of that, it’s a toss up on which teams will show up. Something tells me teams are going to start getting exposed for who they really are in the coming weeks. Watch out Westwood, it’s gonna get real, real soon.

7 p.m. – Posterized (0-4) vs Spartans (1-3)

The Spartan’s got their first win of the season last week, and would love to string together back to back wins. They’ve got a great opportunity to do so, as they are facing a winless Posterized team that has yet to figure it out. On the other hand, Posterized is poised to snap out of this winless streak that they are in at some point…. But when will that be? I think they have another tough outing, and it goes in the Spartans favor.

Prediction: Spartans

7 p.m. – Ruff Ryders (3-1) vs Ea$y Money (4-0)

“GAME. OF. THE. WEEK!” After last week’s lack luster showing, the Ruff Ryders are eager to get back onto the court and prove their hot start to the season was no fluke. Although they escaped with a win last week, Ea$y Money is also looking to improve while also remain the only unbeaten team in Westwood. Hopefully, this is the UH classic that we all deserve.

Prediction: Ea$y Money

8 p.m. – All Style (1-3) vs Ballaz Club (2-2)

At this point we don’t know what team were going to get when All Style takes the court, and it may not even matter. All Style is going to need it’s entire team and then some to take out a Ballaz Club team who seems to be gelling at the right moment. Look for a big game from big man Tim West and a victory for Ballaz Club.

Prediction: Ballaz Club.

8 p.m. – Beast Mode (2-2) vs Legacy (3-1)

Something in me tells me that this one is going to get out of hand…and fast. Beast Mode has a lot of work to do to get where they want to be, and Legacy is using these games to get prepared for what should be a lengthy playoff run. I just don’t think these teams matchup well, and that’s very bad news for Beast Mode.

Prediction: Legacy
