DES MOINES: Week 2 Predictions

By Kelly Burton | Des Moines League Coordinator

7 p.m. - Team Ball vs InterBallers

In the past these two teams have had close battles with games that get decided only by single digit deficits. This season looks to be no different. Team Ball has added size in the front court with Zach Allmon 30 pts, 17 rebounds and Blake Miller 17 points, 4 rebounds to go along with the outside shooting of James Siegle 12 points who was a little off his game last week, but can’t afford to be this week against the run and gun style play of Inter Ballers. Inter Ballers are led by Javier Valdez 38 points, Derrick Beechum 15 points and outside shooter Kyle Siberz 19 points. This will be a fun one to watch.

Prediction: Team Ball by 3

8 p.m. - Falcons vs LifeTime Ballers

Last week the Falcons proved they will be a team to be reckoned with by giving the defending champs all they could handle before falling to the end. Playing good team ball and meshing very well even though it was their first night out. Led by Curran Ingram 24 points and Mhiyu Thomas 25 points with 11 rebounds. LifeTime Ballers have been chomping a the bit to get out and play after having a bye last week are looking forward to bouncing back from a disappointing season they last played. Adding new players Luke Devenney and Judd Harold and much needed depth to go along with returning players Mark Phillips, Taylor Newland and Mel Stocker to name a few big scorers. This will definitely be fight to the end, but which team will come out on top?

Prediction: Falcons by 5
