WESTWOOD: Week 2 Predictions

By David Jordan | Westwood Media Associate

Week 1 rankings were posted, and they were a hot topic of discussion right off the bat. Ballaz Club’s top ranking was questioned, and it looks like it was rightfully so. As we head into week two, we’ve got a handful of teams looking to have some respect put on their names. With Thursday night’s games just hours away, it will once again be time to put up or shut up. Let’s check out this weeks games.

7 p.m. – Spartans (0-1) vs. Legacy (1-0)

In what should be one of the more interesting games of the night, you have the Spartans vs Legacy. In terms of height and size, the Spartans have the front court advantage, and Legacy has the back court advantage. Legacy may struggle on the boards having to have to deal with both Adam Quinlan and Shawn Wise. But the bigger problem may be the Spartans to deal with, as they will have to find someone to stop both Ace and Ty, amongst all the other shooters that the team has amassed. I don’t see it happening.

Prediction: Legacy

7 p.m. – Beast Mode (0-1) vs. Posterized (0-1)

Both teams come into Week 2 looking to get into the win column. After last weeks showing from Beast Mode, my faith in them is very low. Posterized on the other hand, were not able to get the W last week, but are still as good as advertised. Im rolling with Jimmie and Crew.

Prediction: Posterized

8 p.m. – Ea$y Money (1-0) vs. All Style  (1-0)

“GAME. OF. THE. WEEK!” Easy Money is riding a high after their opening week dismantling of Ballaz Club! Rumor has it the team is extra confident, being that they pulled off a win without two big contributors. On the other side, All Style is feeling the same way, as they got the win in week one without Duke & Rennie. It’s only Week 2, but this is already can’t miss basketball.

Prediction: Ea$y Money

8 p.m. – Ruff Ryders (1-0) vs. Ballaz Club (0-1)

We’re not quite in must win territory yet, but Ballaz Club needs to get a W to help stop the bleeding which has continued since the end of the summer session. Teams are talking as if Ballaz Club’s reign on top was short like leprechauns #ThanksBiggie, just ask Jimmie Melton. This isn’t good for the Ruff Ryders, who haven’t been truly tested this season. Unless the old Octavio comes walking through those doors, we may not get enough out of the Rough Ryders

Prediction: Ballaz Club
