Unsigned Hype Starts Off the Season atop the Power Rankings
RALEIGH: Preseason Power Rankings
By Thomas Hunt | Raleigh League Coordinator
1. Unsigned Hype
After winning the championship last season they look to make a run at back-to-back championships lead by last seasons MVP and all their players returning. Let’s see what they can do.
2. Lifetime Rebels
After taking a season off the former champs are back and are looking to pick up where they left off.
3. The Heat
After returning all their players except Zo Baxter and a few key pickups. The Heat look to finally get over that hump and bring home the championship.
4. Raleigh Elite
After dominating the regular season last season, Raleigh Elite looks to redeem themselves after being upset in the playoffs last season.
5. The Defenders
The Defenders are a team new to the league this season. I’ve watched these guys play pickup at the open runs we have had, and this team could potentially be really dangerous. They are very athletic, play defense and can score the ball from just about anywhere on the court.
6. The Monstars
The Monstars are back for another season coming off their first season playing together and knocking off Raleigh Elite to make it to the finals. These guys are looking to build off of an amazing run last season and finish it off with the championship.
7. D.R.
Is another team that’s new to the league this season. This team is keeping everything quite they haven’t played at any of the open runs. But with them being mostly family members and having played together so much I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the Ultimate Hoops league
8. The Kings
The Kings are back with all new faces, led by Antonio Linzy. I really don’t know what to expect from this team but I honestly can’t wait to see what they can do.
