Ferrall Ballerz Look for Revenge Against Andiamo

BERGEN COUNTY: Week 1 Predictions

Andiamo vs. Ferrall Ballerz

We start the season with a matchup between two teams that have become quick rivals.  It was an easy first regular season in the Summer for Andiamo, as they destroyed nearly everyone one in their path...except for the Ballerz, who gave them their only regular season battles with two games that ended within a basket (with the second game ending on a tip in at the buzzer).  The rivalry continued in the postseason where the Ballerz did all they could to try and pull an upset, but Andiamo was too much and moved on to the Finals.  The Ballerz return nearly all of their roster while Andiamo will lose some of their depth but return inside powerhouse Tom Kokosinski & outside sniper Matt Vasel.  It should be a great battle to start the season but with the Ballerz missing top scorer Brendan McManus to start, I am going to have to pick Andiamo.

Prediction: Andiamo, 54-46.

Harry’s Pub vs. Bergen Tropics

Our second matchup is a battle of unknowns.  While the Bergen Tropics are team that is consistently in the league season after season, they have gone through a major roster overhaul during the offseason, with only Jason Fond and Alex Benisatto returning.  While Harry's Pub is led by former champions in Harrison Zablo and Mathew Mofrad, there are a lot of fresh faces to the league that fill the rest of the roster.  While it's hard to predict what's going to happen with so many new players, I'll lean towards the quick guard play of Derryn Bronstein and Ryan Noonan leading to a victory.

Prediction: Begren Tropics, 42-33
