Rec City, Crown Apple, Baseline, DMV Ballers punch their Las Vegas tickets

The remaining four available spots for the 2021 Las Vegas National Tournament were filled on Thursday afternoon. The 16-team field for the October 16-17 tournament is now set.

Two of the four teams have National Tournament experience. Rec City from Minnesota went 2-1 in the Las Vegas National Tourney but did not qualify for Sunday’s Elite Eight games. Many Rec City fans were upset at the Tourney Selection Committee for the Sunday snub, feeling they deserved to be selected.

Al Kamara and DMV Ballers will be back in Vegas.

DMV Ballers from Washington D.C. won the Ultimate Hoops NYC National Title in 2018. This will be their second appearance in the Las Vegas National Tourney. The team finished 1-2 in 2018 playing without star forward Byron Mouton.

Baseline will represent the Houston Region’s first entry in the Ultimate Hoops National Tournaments. Baseline finished 6-3 in Baybrook’s Spring Season. Their PPV average team payroll is just over $10 million.

Crown Apple from Arizona will also make their first National Tournament appearance. Team captain Darrylon Lee was a part of Never Off Work, who finished second in the 2019 Las Vegas National Tourney.
