Minnesota’s Chris Maher secures another Hall of Fame nomination

After a two-year hiatus, the Ultimate Hoops Hall of Fame is back.

On Friday, the league announced the ten nominations for the 2022 class. The ten names will now be sent to the 14 Hall of Fame inductees to vote, who will vote for up to five nominees. A nominee must secure 75% of the vote to get elected.

The 2022 class will be announced on Friday, Oct. 14, as part of the 35 & Over Las Vegas National Tournament weekend.

The Hall of Fame selection committee also announced changes to the number of games for the player to be eligible for the Hall of Fame, upping it from 300 to 500 games by September 1st.

Second-time nominees include Minnesota’s Chris MaherSonny Young-Graves, and Arizona’s Brandon Walker. The Minnesota region topped the number of nominees with six, followed by Arizona and Las Vegas with two nominees each.
