Jason Tollefson gets revenge against No Limits with a career-high 63 points

Renegades has been on a tear through the Gilbert Vet League this season. They have a 6-1 record, standing alone in first place, and they lead the league in points scored (91.7 per game) and points against (74.6 per game) this season.

The one loss they suffered came in Week 3, an 80-68 loss to a five-man No Limits squad.

Last night they got their chance to avenge their only loss of the season, and they did not squander the opportunity. No Limits played with only five players again, and they were not able to handle the Renegades, as they got pummeled 122-76.

The most damage was inflicted by Jason Tollefson, who went off for a career-high 63 points. He shot 28-40 from the field, adding nine rebounds, six assists and four steals.

“We lost one game this season to this team so we came out immediately fired up, focused and ready to dominate,” Tollefson said. “Honestly, I felt like I could’ve scored 80.”

Donald Dangmuk was on the wrong side of last night’s score, and he said that only having five players made it nearly impossible to contain Tollefson.

“Jason is the most tiring player to guard in the entire league. He will dribble and constantly run for 44 minutes,” Dangmuk said. “Having only five players in uniform last night, we just didn’t have the energy to stop him. It was basically a layup drill for him last night.”

Tollefson’s previous career-high came last summer in the vet league when he scored 56 points in a 103-101 victory.

Last night’s performance adds to the best statistical season in his UH career, as he’s averaging 33.1 points (second in the league) per game on 56% shooting from the field and 47% from deep.
