Day 1 of the 2019 Las Vegas National Tourney was plagued with numerous blowout games with few headlines. Then, in the final game of the evening between Minnesota’s TC Wolves and Arizona’s BBQ Chicken, one of the biggest early storylines of the tourney emerged.

TC Wolves were up by 15 when guard Michael Bozoukas had to leave the game with an injury, leaving the short-handed BBQ to compete 4 vs 5 against the Wolves.

Miraculously, the TC Wolves were unable to take advantage and lost 104-102 to fall to 1-1 on the day. In a post-game interview with UH’s Luke Hanlon, TC Wolves’ guard and UH Hall-Of-Famer Izzy Elkaffas, a last-minute addition to the team, called it “the worst loss in Ultimate Hoops history.”
