Life Time opened another club in the Houston area yesterday, as the Life Time Athletic Greenway held it’s Grand Opening.

Greenway features two basketball courts, so it was able to host multiple Ultimate Hoops experiences for members to enjoy. Greenway league coordinator, Sadalia Ellis, led a pick-up run to simulate the league experience, while trainer, Rashad Adams, led training drills for youth basketball players at the event.

Ellis said she’s excited to start a league at the location and share her passion for the sport of basketball with others.

“I got involved with Ultimate Hoops because I enjoy the game of basketball and want to create a competitive, energetic, fun, and well organized environment for fellow enthusiasts. Being with Life Time Ultimate Hoops gives me that opportunity to continue being involved with basketball by bringing it to others,” she said.

“The most exciting thing about being a league coordinator is the opportunity to meet new people who all share this one thing in common, we love playing basketball. I’m excited to get a competitive league going and seeing the different types of talents and hearing the different stories of all the members.”

This is the fifth different Life Time with a basketball court to open in the Houston area. While that would be too much congestion for some cities, Houston is large enough, and spread out enough, to support the multiple locations offering Ultimate Hoops.

“The basketball culture here in Houston is competitive. It’s one of the largest cites in the US, meaning there are a lot of talented players with many different background stories on how they developed a love for the game and the journey it took them on,” Ellis said.

Here are some of the best photos taken by Michael Williams at yesterday’s event. You can see all of Williams’ photos on the UH Houston Facebook group.
