Good Sirs (7-1) vs. Chasers (7-1)

Previous Meetings
Week 1: Chasers win 69-56
Week 6: Good Sirs win 77-75

There are storylines abound in this matchup which will make for a great championship game in Woodstock. Most of these players suited up together in the past and won championships playing alongside one another. Whether it was the Kyrie effect of wanting to do it on your own or seeking better teammates, they split up and now they will face off for a title. Each team has only one loss and both were against each other. In week one, Chasers looked like the supremely talented team, but Good Sirs has improved drastically since then. They met again in week six, and an undermanned Chasers took Good Sirs to the wire and had a chance to win it in crunch time before losing by 2. This game should be extremely close if both teams have their full squads intact.

Reggie Thompson’s scoring will be crucial to Chasers’ success. If he’s efficient, they have a real shot at winning the title. They'll need more production for their role players who have been in and out of the lineup with attendance issues. Another key will be if they are able to stay in their patented 2-3 zone or if Good Sirs will shoot them out of it.

Good Sirs will continue to rely on Michael Corkrum and Frankie Farrokh Ghouchani. Corkrum has been a monster down low and will be a problem for Chasers undersized front line. Ghouchani has been on fire from deep in recent weeks. His recent red-hot shooting combined Good Sirs’ depth will be too much for Chasers.

Prediction: Good Sirs by 7
