I nominated Eric because he is one of the hardest working kids I have in my program. Ever since I started training Eric, he has been committed to getting better by training with me multiple times a month, doing personal training sessions at Life Time and never giving up. Eric recently made his JV 9 team and I couldn’t be more proud!
— Ken Koerner, Ultimate Hoops Trainer Syosset, NY

Our December Never Retire Player of the Month is 14-year-old Eric Roth from Woodbury, New York. Eric currently plays on the Syosset High School Junior Varsity Basketball team and in the Syosset Basketball Intramural League. He loves the game of basketball because of the action in the game and the intense competitiveness with players on the opposing team.

Eric’s proudest basketball moment happened just recently when his High School Basketball Coach told him he made the JV basketball team!

Eric started working with trainer, Ken Koerner, 3 years ago and his big goal was to make it on his High School team. Eric mentioned that Coach Koerner played a vital role in helping him reach his goal.

When asked what he likes about training with Coach Koerner, Eric mentioned “ I love training with Ken because he teaches me new techniques during every lesson, it’s never the same. Ken has a lot of patience and he makes me work hard to perfect my skills. My game has improved dramatically because of everything that Ken has taught me.

Congratulations Eric, keep up the great work and Never Retire!
