GREEN VALLEY VET B: Play-In Game & Consolidation Predictions

By Michael Palmer | Green Valley Media Associate

Play-In Game: 44 Minutes (0-8) vs. RudeDogs (2-6) - Winner plays Old School

The last time these two teams squared off, the RudeDogs won by 13 points as Evan Hunt of the RudeDogs scored a game-high 27 points. Even though 44 Minutes haven't won a game this season, this should still be a competitive game. Watch out for 44 Minutes' Jeremy Peltz to play a competitive game and make the RudeDogs guard him like crazy. Keng Weng will also be aggressive from the get-go and watch out for his 3-point attempts.

Meanwhile, the RudeDogs have dynamic players in Hunt, Anthony Khotsikian and Anthony Bowe. Roger Snow can surprise people with his shooting accuracy and I won't be surprised if we see a lot of threes made tonight. GM Dan Orozco should grab double-figure rebounds and the RudeDogs will move on to face Old School in the semifinals of the consolidation bracket.

Prediction: RudeDogs -15

Consolidation Game: Alcoballics (4-4) vs. Boozers (4-4)

Jason Salerno and the Boozers will battle it out against Jay Schuttert and the Alcoballics. Salerno has played in back-to-back games for the first time all season and hopefully he suits up and competes in this one. If he suits up, he'll for sure go up against Schuttert and I'm looking forward to see how the two go against each other. Watch out for the Boozers' Greg Goorjian to explode mid-range and knock down jump shot after jump shot. Let's see how well the shooting duo of Robert Lew and Kerry Knoll do against a locked-in Boozers defense. If Luis Maceira and Tim Kachinsky explode early and often, they could very well win this game. This will be a highly competitive contest, but if Salerno and Goorjian score in double figures and has a great second-half, they'll win this one.

Prediction: Boozers -3.5
