FORT WASHINGTON: Semifinal Predictions

By Kevin White | Fort Washington League Coordinator

The 2018 Fall UH playoffs kick off tonight in Fort Washington. It opens with a grudge rematch between Our Time, and the two-time defending champion Shawn Warren Elite.

7 p.m. - No. 1 Our Time vs No. 4 SWE

Our Time has made it to the championship game in two out of three seasons and have yet claimed the title. They come into tonight’s playoff as the No. 1 seed. Jermaine Bromell is the captain, the heart, and hardest working player on this team. He wants this title bad and will put it all on the line tonight. Mike Erdos is a savvy experienced veteran for this club. When he’s making shots they are a completely different team. They need a big game from Amaar Clemente he’s a guard that can get it going and really help them. They are excited to have Kevin White back and still not 100 percent he’s the healthiest he’s been in a while. Newcomer Justin Raber needs to be impactful this game and off the bench Imeer Miller, Trevor Marsh and Duane McCarthy look to make impact.

It’s no easy task with the defending champs. The playoffs are a different monster. Shawn Warren Elite are on a three-game losing streak and look to right the ship tonight. They have a lot of motivation coming in to prove they are still top dog. Paul Curry, Brandon Hough, and Eric Pendleton look to lead the charge tonight. Carl Hines is always a big X factor and the energy Matt Laken provides ignites this team. This will be a good one

Prediction: Our Time 80, Shawn Warren Elite 76

8 p.m. - No. 2 Give N Go vs No. 3 Suburban Legends

The second semifinal game features the leagues newest team Give and Go and the Suburban Legends. The Legends are the leagues hottest team coming in on a three-game win streak. Carlos Chubb has been a great addition and makes all the difference for this team to now have an inside presence. Jimmy Kieserman is still the shipowner for this team and makes them go. Anish Nair has really picked up his scoring and Naveen has remained a consistent scorer for this team. Mark Miller is a huge X factor and a scrappy player. This team is very well balanced.

Give N Go have shown all season they can compete with anyone and our legit contenders. A win tonight would solidify that statement. Captain Dillon Tolliver played our of his mind last game making six 3s. Chris Hauser brings playoff experience to this club and big man Ryan Paulson will be the anchor. Player of the year nominee Hakeem Brown has played his best season thus far. Ty Crawford has been great both offensively and defensively. This will be a good game down to the wire.

Prediction Suburban Legends 74, Give N Go 73
