PRINCETON: Semifinals Preview

By Phil Jackson | Princeton League Coordinator

The playoffs are set in Princeton, NJ. While some may have the Generals as a lock to win it all and finish out a perfect season, some are speculating that the Fundamentals and Lakers have figured out how to beat them.

The regular season saw the Princeton Generals lock up a solid record of 8-0, mostly due to the skillful and strategic drafting by team captain Mike Montella.

The Life Time Lakers have their eyes set on a championship led by guard Kosty Yablon who posted an incredible 53 points in one game this season, and leads the league in scoring.

The Fundamentals were the only team this season to be leading for most of the game vs. the Generals, and many around the club are speculating them as the favorite to win it all despite their 3-5 record.

It is sure to be a photo finish in Princeton as we are set for playoff game one tonight at 7 p.m. where we will see the Fundamentals (3-5) vs. Life Time Lakers (4-4). Game two is set for 8 p.m. where the Princeton Pelicans (1-7) vs. the Princeton Generals (8-0). The table is set and the stakes are high as to which team will raise the first banner!

See you on the court!
