Three Undefeated Teams Remain After Two Weeks

1. CG Cement (2-0)

CG is averaging a whopping 95 ppg through their first two wins. The next highest team average is at 68 ppg, a 27-point gap between the No. 1 and No. 2 scoring teams in the league. They have also been solid defensively, impressively holding their opponents to 52.5 ppg despite their high possession games. Between Jeff Jayson (33.5 ppg) and Anthony Kann (16.5 rpg), there doesn't seem to be a fair match for CG that we have seen yet through two weeks.

2. Fast Break (2-0)

Fast Break picked up their second win last week against El Fuego, 67-61 behind a balanced-scoring effort. Chris Brown (18 points), Ayrn Curtis (16 pts), Keith Stonestreet (14 points), Marcus Hardy (11 points), and Gary Hooks (8 points) all chipped in to get the win. Fast Break will really be taken to the test when they go up against No. 1 CG Cement in Week 3.

3. Showtime (2-0)

Being early in the season, it is tough to decide how strong of a 2-0 start this is for Showtime. They only beat Carrington Realtors 55-47 last week and have taken down to of the lesser teams so far without facing a stiff test. Tyler Warga (18 points) and Greg Ristau (12 points, 6 assists) continue to lead the team offensively and hopefully they can keep it up as the schedule gets more difficult.

4. Kickstand Brewery (1-1)

It has been said that teams make their biggest improvement from Week 1 to Week 2 and it worked for KB. Part of it was having their entire roster including David Stapleton, a tall wing who can shoot it with the best of them. Stapleton led all scorers with 16 points in their 52-48 victory over Summer 19 in Week 2. John Essenmacher continued his strong start by chipping in 12 points to go along with 5 assists.

5. Summer 19 (1-1)

A disappointing loss to Kickstand Brewery saw Summer 19 score only 48 points on a night where they shot less than 40 percent as a team and committed too many turnovers. Nick Sivyer (16 points, 4 rebounds) was a loan bright spot for S19 as the rest of the team struggled from the field. The inconsistent play we have seen so far could have them on the outside looking in come playoff time.

6. Elite All-Stars (0-2)

A 50-point loss, 92-42 against No. 1 CG Cement has Elite Allstars feeling like finishing second this season would be like winning a championship. In a game where nothing went right, it's best to reset going into Week 3 like the start of a new season and bring some positive energy into the game after the were more than doubled up in Week 2.

7. El Fuego (0-2)

Shockeem Jarrett (26 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists) did everything in his power to try and will El Fuego to victory but they came up just short in the 6-point loss. While none of his other teammates scored in double digits, someone else on El Fuego is going to help and take some pressure off of Jarrett as the season goes on and teams continue to key in on him.

8. Carrington Realtors (0-2)

Carrington took a second loss, this time 55-47 to Showtime in Week 2. Trevor Happy (12 points), Matthew O'Brien (11 points), and Al Hines (10 points) all scored in double figures but it wasn't quite enough despite the impressive defensive effort by Carrington holding their opponent to just 55 points in the loss.
