WESTCHESTER: Week 2 Predictions

By Cody Martin | Westchester League Coordinator

’98 Knicks (0-1) VS Shake & Bake (0-1)

Both teams came up short last week, but were missing some of their best players. Look for them both to come in this week ready to fight. Shake & Bake’s Antione Johnson performed well last week scoring 22 points and logging 6 assists. While Mike DeCicco for ’98 Knicks scored 30 points and brought in an amazing 18 rebounds. There is definitely some great performers on both sides. Look for Shake & Bake to squeak by with the win.

Mazzacone Drainer’s (1-0) VS Massa Coastal (1-0)

Starting off strong with a win for both these teams, this will be a barn burner for sure. Michael Coburn (35 points) and Garfield Johns (33 points) for Massa Coastal, Trevor Mooney (36 points) and Dane Samuels (18 points) for Mazzacone Drainer’s are some of the top players in the league. They score in bunches and have yet to be challenged offensively. This one will be close, but Massa Coastal is just too strong to fold this week.

ManDown (1-0) VS Illmatic (0-1)

Two teams that are very well rounded. A tough start for Illmatic coming in short handed last week and clearly looked rusty. They had some serious bright points though with Sky Williams and Sha Sheikh each scoring 35 points. They are going to need that this week for ManDown, the team that won the whole thing last season. ManDown came out firing on all cylinders last week and the team shot over 50 percent from the field. Expect more of the same along with a win for ManDown.
