FORT WASHINGTON: Week 2 Predictions

By Kevin White | Fort Washington League Coordinator

7 p.m. - Our Time (1-0) vs Give N’ Glo (1-0)

Our first game of the night features to undefeated teams. Our Time is a UH Veteran team. They have deep playoff experience and a strong core in Captain Jermaine Bromell, Amaar Clemente, and Mike Erdos. Bromell is a load on the boards and a frequent double double guy. He is the heart and soul of the team. Mike Erdos brings such a high quality IQ for this squad. Amaar Clemente is a do it all guard.

Give ‘N’ Glo feature dynamic guards in Tye Crawford, Chris Hauser, and Hakeem Brown. Steve Tolliver has good UH experience and he’s the glue for this team.

Prediction: Give ‘N’ Glo are still working on team chemistry as they have some newcomers to this team and guys who haven’t played together. I give the edge in this game to Our Time due to experience. 74-68

8 p.m. - Shawn Warren Elite (1-0) vs Outlaws (0-1)

Shawn Warren Elite puts their 15-game win streak on the line vs a tough natured Outlaw team. I expect captain David Hardy to take tonight personal to will his team to compete. Samuel Evans is always a load to deal with. If Chris Kim is not present they will not have enough offensive fire power to stay afloat. If Murvin Mitchell returns tonight this game could get real interesting.

Everyone wants to see how Shawn Warren Elite’s Paul Curry will respond after he erupted in Week 1 with 48 points setting the Fort Washington single-game scoring record.

Prediction: Too many what if’s have to be in place for the Outlaws to be victorious. I give the edge to Shawn Warren Elite for their 16th win a row. 86-78.

8 p.m. - Suburban Legends (0-1) vs X-Men (0-1)

In game one we have a battle of undefeated teams. In game two we have a battle of two teams looking to get in the win column. This should be our closest game of the night. I expect it to be very competitive. If Anish Nair comes back today he adds more depth and scoring to the legends. Jimmy Kieserman looks to get rolling.

The X-Men are hungry and ready to prove they can compete with anyone. Alex Weems is a dead-eye shooter and they have added some pieces in newcomers Jacob Green and Samuel Anyan to compliment him.

Prediction: X men 70 Suburban legends 67
