ROSEVILLE: Week 2 Predictions

By Devyn Harrell | Roseville Media Associate

7:30 p.m. - Mustangs vs Hornets

The Hornets won a nail biter last week, as the Wildcats surprised everyone with their gritty performance nearly pulling off the upset. Adam Casares and company face off with former teammate Mike Cucicea this week. The Mustangs won by forfeit last week and will hope to actually get out on the court in this one. Mustangs battle hard but ultimately fall to the Hornets in yet another close game.

8:30 p.m. - Bulldogs vs Ducks

The Darius Wright-led Ducks had what will most likely be their toughest test on opening night as they squeezed by the Dirty Birds 103-100. They should have little to no problem exploiting a team that was forced to forfeit their first game. The Ducks are nowhere near what they are capable of being and that is an extremely scary thought for the rest of the league. Ducks roll big.

8:30 p.m. - Dirty Bird vs Eagles

The Eagles had an impressive win last week and have only gotten stronger with two new acquisitions (Trey Overton & Jacob Payne). The Dirty Birds fell to the Ducks in a 3 point heart breaker. Reno Dupor and Cole Moore have already been ruled out for the Dirty Birds while Ron Jacobs is set to miss 4-6 weeks with a calf tear. Both teams will have to get big performances from their role players as this game should be another fun one to watch. Dirty Birds put the Eagles in their place, pull away late.

8:30 p.m. - Wolves vs Wildcats

Both of these teams are coming off of tough losses with a lot to prove. The Wildcats displayed unwavering effort in their near upset. While the Wolves can simply look to their 14 turnovers as the only negative from a relatively positive opening night performance. Wolves tighten up, keep the turnovers under 10 and hand Wildcats their second loss.
