FRANKLIN: Week 5 Predictions

By Patrick Forrest | Franklin Media Associate

DS vs Fly Agents

Two teams going in opposite directions right now.  DS is hitting their stride after and opening season loss and the Fly Agents are still looking for their first win.  The theme for this week is who is going to step up, the Fly Agents star is Greg Leifel who just had a 30-point scoring outburst.   He needs someone to come along with him, Jacob Dweh started to see some shots fall at the end of last game and he is looking to break out.  They’ll need Jacob to step up and hit some outside shots if the Fly Agents are looking to keep pace with DS.

On team DS it seems like multiple players each night who catch fire and carry the offensive load.  Justin McCormick has not had that game yet that we have come to expect from him from beyond the arc.  Tonight, is the night, McCormick has his best offensive night of the year and really puts the pressure on the Fly Agents to score.

Prediction:  The Monstars by 25

Commissioner’s Choice vs The Monstars

First time matchup up for these two squads, can Commissioner’s Choice pose the first threat to the Monstars this year and take over their number one spot?  It’s a tough task as the Monstars have so many scoring weapons and play great defense.  It seems like each player on the team this year for the Monstars has had their own spotlight moment, which is why they are clearly number one in the power rankings this year.

Cam Craig began to hit some shots at the end of the game, looking for it to be his night beyond the are and the player to step up.  Commissioner’s Choice probably needs every single person on the roster to step up to pull out the W in this game, The Monstars are that good.  Looking for a double double this game from Marcus Williams though, Marcus lead the league in rebounding this year and that will get his game going tonight which will lead to a breakout night scoring for him.

Prediction:  The Monstars by 15
