GREEN VALLEY DRAFT: Week 4 Power Rankings

By Michael Palmer | Green Valley Media Associate

1. Ironman (3-0)

Down by two points in overtime to Black Panther, Ironman went with none other than Sean Watkins to drill the game-winning three with less than 10 seconds remaining. It wasn't the prettiest win, but Ironman got the job done. Watkins scored 11 points, while Angel Castro scored a game-high 27 points, making seven shots from downtown.

Bernard Preston got himself 22 points on eight assists while J.J. Todd recorded four big-time blocks, two in overtime alone. All it takes is to win by one point to get a win and that's what Ironman did.

2. Spiderman (3-0)

What a week for Charlie Farber as the veteran scored a game-high 31 points, shooting 69 percent from the field and went 7-8 from the charity stripe in an 80-69 win over Thor. Josh Rollans also had a great performance scoring 17 points on 15 rebounds and man is having quite the season.

Spiderman was lucky to get the win though as they shot a mere 43 percent from the field. RJ Wojtowicz was truly a difference-maker for sure as he scored 11 points and made three shots from downtown. Overall, Spiderman is a very aggressive team and will be tough to beat this season.

3. Hulk (2-1)

What a fine performance from Hulk as they pounded Captain America for a 96-83 win in what saw the majority of the players from Hulk score in double figures. Ben Carey is having one heck of a season as he put up 32 points, making six treys and grabbed 13 rebounds in the process. Perhaps we have seen Carey join a first or second team award for the veteran by the end of the season.

Marcus Wilson also had a great game scoring 28 points shooting 71 percent from the field and grabbed 13 rebounds. I was impressed to see Lamont Harris Jr.'s stats as he put up a season-high 20 points and also had a game-tying high seven assists. Hulk also got to the charity stripe quite often, going 13-17 from the line. Great work Hulk.

4. Thor (1-2)

Kodiak Yazzie scored 15 points on 11 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Thor lost by 11 points to Ironman. Simply put it, they couldn't make their shots as they shot 35 percent from the field. They did manage to put-rebounded Spiderman by five rebounds as Dominic Pedotto (11 rebounds) and Milo Berger (10 rebounds) play a very aggressive game. Hopefully they bounce back next week and take care of business.

5. Black Panther (0-3)

Tough one for Black Panther as they fell to Ironman in overtime. They were down by five points in the first half and came back to outscore Ironman by five points. They were without Stefan Hanania in this one and even without him, they still played very well to force OT.

Anthony Livingston scored a team-high 22 points on 15 rebounds, while big-man Eric Redeaux had himself 18 points on 12 boards. Black Panther out-rebounded Ironman 56-32 even with Todd down low for Ironman. Hopefully they get Hanania back next week for their first win of the season.

6. Captain America (0-3)

Even though Kenny McNeil made his return to Captain America and scored 30 points on seven made threes, they still couldn't get their first win of the season, losing by 13 points. Kerry Knoll was also aggressive from downtown as he made six of them, scoring 22 points. Mike Smiljanic got himself 17 points on 12 rebounds and I know that this team is capable of pulling off a quality win this season; it's just a matter of when.
