End of an Era: Ultimate Hoops' Founder Alan Arlt Departs from Top Role

The day we all knew would come has arrived. Founder Alan Arlt will be stepping down from his role as head of Ultimate Hoops and into a new journey outside of Life Time and the rec basketball world.

Alan founded the company in 2006 with a dream and a drive to make it happen. Since then, he has made Ultimate Hoops one of the largest and most successful recreational basketball leagues in North America. Our lives are all different because of Alan’s ambition.

On behalf of UH Nation, we want to thank you, Alan, for giving us the experience of feeling like an NBA player whether debuting for the first time at the National Tournament or just battling it out one night a week with our local competition.

For many of us, our childhood dreams became reality because of Ultimate Hoops.

Thank you for creating all the memories and relationships we all have through Ultimate Hoops. We have built real relationships through this program that will last a lifetime. We will continue to keep playing and keep your legacy alive.

Last but not least, thank you for teaching us to Never Retire. We know you won’t.

You will be missed.

Sincerely, UH Nation
