Hall of Fame Class of 2022
The votes are in. The people have spoken. Three new players will be joining Ultimate Hoops royalty as the Class of 2022.
Congratulations to Brandon Walker, Chris Maher and Sonny Young-Graves. All three players will be joining the Hall of Fame today after being voted in by their peers.
Each player secured over 75% of the votes. All Ultimate Hoops League Coordinators with 2+ years of experience and all Ultimate Hoops Hall of Famers were part of the committee.
Congratulations to the class of 2022!
Chris led the entire 2022 class after securing 90% of the vote. He is the 3rd all time leading scorer in Ultimate Hoops history with 13,254 points. Chris is also the 2nd leading rebounder in Ultimate Hoops history with 5583 rebounds for his career. Chris is the embodiment of our motto: never retire.
Sonny is #2 all time in 3 point makes and the 6th leading scorer in Ultimate Hoops history. He has the 5th most wins of all time and currently has the 2nd most games played in UH history. Sonny’s accomplishments span on and off the court having served in every role as a referee, statistician and league coordinator for Ultimate Hoops.
Brandon was one of the original pioneers of Ultimate Hoops Arizona. His contributions go way beyond just a player of the game as a media correspondent for Arizona during the early days. The success of the Ultimate Hoops Arizona region would not be possible with out Brandon’s contributions. Brandon is also the 12th all time leading scorer and #13 in assist in Ultimate Hoops history. His remarkable career capped off in 2017 after winning the National Tournament with team X-Over. Fun fact: Team X-Over is the only team that has beaten Ball So Hard in a National Tournament.
