There are 23,219 players that have registered at least one UH game played over the years, as well as around 3,000 who played a game during the Winter 2020 season. It’s a lot to keep track of, and from time-to-time there are noteworthy milestones that slip through the cracks.

With the additional time available without leagues going on, it gave us the chance to look back on some milestones that were achieved during this past season.

Steven Ellis and David Stephens have both played in 402 games, making them the 48th and 49th players to ever surpass 400 career games played. Stephens got there first, playing in his 400th game on February 12 in the Shelby Open League. Unfortunately for Stephens, the achievement came in a 115-77 loss to Dat Ain’t Fair. Ellis’ 400th game, which came on February 27, was a happier occasion, as he had 13 points and eight rebounds in a 101-76 win over 3Ball Minnesota in the Fridley Rec-Plus League.

Kodiak Yazzie played in his 300th game on February 24 in a 91-88 win in the Summerlin Open League. He had eight points and six rebounds in the win over Ball Stars, which helped Project X secure the one-seed heading into the playoffs.

Christian Bower became the 38th player in UH history, and the fifth in UH Arizona history, to surpass 7,000 points, which he did in a 68-67 win in the Sweet 16 of the Arizona Draft Tournament on March 12. Bower scored 16 points in the win, putting his career total to 7,002. That total is now up to 7,017 after he scored 15 points to send GOATS Gilbert to the Final Four of the draft tournament.

Brandon Dominick became the 51st player in UH history to surpass 6,000 career points in an 85-71 win on February 26 in the Syosset Vet League. He scored 22 points in the win, which put him at exactly 6,000 points scored for his career. He’s now up to 6,025 after he scored 25 in a playoff win to send Let’s Do This into the championship game.

Anthony Nunn scored 12 points in a 102-84 win in the Champions Open League on March 5, giving him 3,004 points in his career. He got to that mark in 172 games, averaging 17.5 points per game while shooting 50% from the field and 47% from deep.

Charlie Farber became the 37th player to surpass 3,000 career rebounds in a 98-77 win in the Green Valley Rec League on March 3. Farber had five rebounds in the win, putting his career total to 3,001. That career total now sits at 3,012, as Farber had 11 rebounds across two games two nights later, playing in the vet and vet B leagues in Green Valley.

Chase Skinkis became the 11th player in UH history, and the third in UH Vegas, to record 800 career steals. He got to exactly 800 on March 15 in a 123-69 playoff win in the Summerlin Draft League, where Skinkis got four steals. Skinkis has averaged 1.8 steals per game over the course of his 437-game career.

Steve Bertrand recorded his 200th career block in a 77-58 loss in the first round of the Arizona Draft Tournament. Bertrand needed 12 blocks this season to get to 200 and he got to the exact mark in his final game this season, averaging 1.5 blocks per game in the eight games he played.
