What is it about Minnesota hoopers hitting clutch 3-pointers in the last week? First, it was Minnesota-native Jalen Suggs hitting a 30-foot bank shot to lift Gonzaga to the NCAA Championship Game.

Now, add Justin Fenster to the list.

Fenster, a 6’4” forward for the TC Bombers of the Fridley Ultimate Hoops Open League, hit a desperation 3-pointer with 4.3 seconds left to send the game into overtime.

In OT, Fenster and the Bombers defeated Showtime 107-104 to start Spring Season 1-0. Fenster finished with 30 points on 8-of-14 shooting from behind the arc. Fenster’s teammate, JaVaughn Freeman led the team with a game-high 46 points.

Perrell Williams led Showtime with 31 points and 11 rebounds.
