This week, Ultimate Hoops Hall of Fame ballots were sent to the 12-person voting committee comprised of current inductees. One of the inductees, McKinsey Golfin (Class of 2018), submitted his ballot and requested the league office make his ballot public.

In his request to the league office, Golfin included his reasoning for selecting his five out of the 10 nominees in the 2020 class.

Fred Dudley

“He's a UH veteran who has played in multiple leagues ranging from Draft Leagues to National Tournaments. He's consistently displayed a huge contributing role to his team, regardless of which league it is, even winning a National Tournament Championship in 2019. Though he has a low number of games played, his catalog is remarkable.”

L.C. Comine

“Another UH veteran who's been around for quite some time. He's 5th All-time in games played and highly ranked in assist and steals of all-time too. He has an extremely long catalog of leagues he's played in from at his local club, to several appearances National Tournaments, even in championship games. His resumé definitely speaks high volumes.”

Dustin Dupont

“Dustin has also been around for many years, ranking 6th overall in games played, hoisting a National Championship title on his resumè, and I definitely recall Dustin being Top 5 on the Milestone at one point in time, and who actually motivated me to get out play in more leagues, which his history shows he did. Dustin continues have a HOF catalog and it should definitely be his time.”

Joe Kassis

“Coming from a player who is in the same region, this vote may seem biased. But I have had the ability to see what Joe can do on the court for his team, as well as off the court.

On the court Joe definitely is a game changer with doing all the dirty work that his team needs, from setting screens to free up his lethal perimeter shooters, to grabbing all the rebounds, both offensively and defensively for his team, which is why he's ranked 55th overall.

I believe that if his knee injury wouldn't affected his ability to play then he'd surely be ranked higher. He is amongst the Top 3 in UH with the most overall championship titles (18). Not only on the court is he effective, but off the court I have had the ability to see Joe run successful leagues for years now at his club and making them a success each season.

For the length of time he's been committing himself to the game and UH is impeccable. HOF worthy!

Chris Maher

“Chris also has some miles on him and shows no pattern of slowing down. Chris ranks 3rd on All-time scoring list, 2nd All-time in rebounds, and 8th All-time in games played. That is amazing.

Though he has no National Tournament experience, his local commitment to UH and absorbing that motto of "Never Retire" is always on display.”
