Volleyball League

Life Time Fridley Volleyball League – Overview
The Life Time Fridley Volleyball League is designed for adult athletes seeking structured, competitive, and inclusive play in a well-officiated environment.

Our goals: competitive fairness, safe play, and a positive experience for all players.

Day & Time

  • Sundays, 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM

  • 7 or 10-week regular season + 1 playoff week

  • Play begins: Sunday, March 1

Divisions

OPEN Division- Level: O (recreational / lower level)

    • Capacity: 8 teams

    • “Middle set” format only. no 5–1 or 6–2 systems

    •  Jump Serving is not permitted at this level.

    • Liberos are not permitted at this level.

    • 7 week Single round robin: each team plays 7 different opponents

    • 1 week playoff top 4 teams

    • Plus 2 more weeks for Skill development. OPTIONAL

UPPER Division- Level: U (competitive)

    • Capacity: 10 teams

    • Teams must run a 5–1 or 6–2 system

    • 1 week of playoff top 4 teams 

Team Fees

  • Member Team Fee: $360

  • Non-Member Team Fee: $425

  • The team captain registers and pays for the full team.

Coed Play

  • This is a coed league—no gender-based restrictions or position requirements.

  • The net will be set at men’s regulation height for all matches.

Roster Limits

  • 6-8 Active Players
    These players are eligible to participate in all matches.

  • 3 Substitute Players
    Substitutes may be used during the regular season but must be formally listed before taking the court. Substitute players are not permitted to play in the playoffs.

Age Eligibility Policy
Participation in the Life Time Volleyball League is restricted to adults 18 years of age or older.

Exception to the Age Eligibility Policy:
15 years and older are defined as a Minor Player and are permitted in the league only if:

  1. Their parent or legal guardian is an Active player on the same team.

  2. All Minor Players must have a parent or legal guardian sign any required waivers and acknowledge the risks of adult league play.

  3. Parents or legal guardians of a Minor Player will be responsible for the Minor Player’s actions as if the parent or legal guardian conducted the actions themselves.

No other exceptions will be granted.  

Waivers

  • All players are required to complete and sign a waiver before participating in any match.

  • A player is defined as Active Player, Substitute Player, or Minor Player.
