SCOTTSDALE DRAFT:  Week 2 Predictions

By Dakota Browning-Dudley | Scottsdale Media Associate

Life is all about taking small steps, and it looks like I’ll be taking my predicting talents up north, one small step closer to the Vegas sports books. Let’s see how the lines are looking for tonight’s Scottsdale matchups.

7:30 p.m. - James Meng Talent Agency vs Pup ’N Suds

Both these teams come off of four-point losses in their opening games; fortunately, the losing steak will end rather quickly for one of these teams tonight.  Unfortunately for Pup ’N Suds, I don’t think they will be the one ending their losing streak.

Although it will be tough for JMTA to score at all with the suffocating team defense led by Emery Jeffers, the potential season debuts of Midrange Meng and career average 20-point scorer Jordan Colson should give JMTA the boost they need to book their flight out of Winlessville.

 Prediction:  JMTA by 8

7:30 p.m. - All Bizness vs Views From the Swish

Rumor has it whoever scores less between Biz & Warren is paying for the table in Old Town this weekend, but I don’t know, that’s just what I heard.. These teams had very similar problems last week, both out-rebounded by an alarming amount.

With Don Tufarelli looking like a potential lock for Most Improved Player, I think All Bizness has a little more depth to work with. Views’ supporting cast will have to get going early or else Warren’s scoring could be all in vain.

 Prediction:  All Bizness by 5

 8:30 p.m. - Showtime vs Pup ’N Suds

Shotwime will be in the primetime night cap looking to keep their momentum alive after back to back wins in Week 1.  Chance & TJ look like a dangerous 1-2 punch and Bjorn’s arrival should give them a stronger presence in the key.  Even with all of the lab work Vinnie T has been putting in, I have to say this team might be more like Pout ’N Sadness after two L’s in one night.

 Prediction:  Showtime by 14

8:30 p.m. - The Incredible Basketball Players vs Muppets

If Nick and Arthur only get 11 shots each again tonight, The Incredible Basketball Players will be looking more like dummies than the Muppets.  TIBP should be one of the better offenses in the league but they won’t get very far with the current shot distribution. The Muppets high motor will keep them around in most games, even if they aren’t the most explosive offense in the league.  I’m looking to Brayden to bounce back and lead the offense here.

 Prediction:  Muppets by 6
