BURLINGTON: Week 2 Predictions

By David Jordan | Burlington Media Associate

Week 2 is upon us. What better way to celebrate the Celtics season opener than to have some games of our own. With four teams looking to avoid becoming 0-2, we may be in for some early upsets. Upsets mean that we’re in for some great basketball. Let’s check out this week’s matchups.

7 p.m. – Reformation (0-1) vs. Legendary (1-0)

Reformation has a tough task ahead of them, as Legendary comes into the game looking to build off of last week’s monumental win. Reformation can’t afford to get off to a slow start, as Legendary has way to much fire power and team smarts to have to play catch up for a large majority of the game. Lucky for them, they may not have to deal with a Legendary team at its full strength.

Prediction: Reformation

7 p.m. – The Rox (0-1) vs. Wolves (0-1)

The Rox are ready to get the taste of last week's overtime loss out of their mouths. Lucky for them, they face a Wolves squad who needs to show that they can find the basket as a team. If the Rox can find a way to get easier baskets, they should be be able to pull away from the Wolves who are still looking to jell as a team.

Prediction: The Rox

8:00 – $hmoney (1-0) vs. Fire (1-0)

The 8 p.m. game will feature the top-ranked $hmoney team vs Fire. With both teams picking up wins in Week 1, neither team wants to take a step back in progress or in the loss column. After Week 1, it’s hard to tell contenders from pretenders, but I believe one team is going to be exposed early on. Fire will have to find an answer for Jason LaPlanche, and I’m not sure they have one.  .

Prediction: $hmoney

8:00 – Dream Team (1-0) vs  The Wildcats (0-1)

GAME. OF. THE. WEEEEEEEK! This game has excitement written all over it. The Dream Team is looking to improve to 2-0 on the season behind a tough squad led by Thomas Morales. The Wildcats are coming off a loss, but far from out of it. Look for a big game from Christien Morneweck as he will try to put an end to Boston Bane’s reign of terror.

Prediction: Wildcats
