Who's Hot: Johnny Johnson's Week 6 gives him the nation's highest PPV

Here’s a look at the five hottest players in UH Nation from the past week.

Johnny Johnson +19,351,256

Johnson has been having a very good fall season in the Champions Open League, averaging 25.6/7.4/3.7 and shooting 58% from the field. He stepped up his game during Week 6, where We Run It had to play a game on back-to-back days. On Wednesday, Johnson scored 42 points on 16-26 shooting from the field and 6-9 from deep, adding 10 rebounds in a 79-76 win. He followed that up with a triple-double of 44/15/10 on 17-24 shooting in a 100-84 win. This got We Run It from 2-3 to 4-3 in one week, and Johnson is the main reason for that jump.

Sina Abbott +14,450,203

Abbott has only played in three UH games, and the last two have been completely different than his first game. In his debut, Abbott had seven points on 2-12 shooting. In his last two games, Abbott has averaged 31 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 53% from the field and 50% from deep. His PPR of 19.3 is the third-highest in the MetroWest Rec League, and if this form continues, he’ll be at the top of the list soon enough.

Alex Kenna +11,572,810

Kenna has been balling out in Bridgewater this season, with his lowest scoring game being 30 points. The points have added up due to 56% shooting from the field and 46% from deep. He’s helped Treys 4 Days get to a 5-0 record halfway through the season, and in his last two games, he’s averaged 35 points and 12.5 rebounds.

Brian Sames +11,193,374

Sames’ last two games have come over eight months apart. He had 10 points, five rebounds and three assists in a 77-64 loss in the Fridley Rec Plus championship game during the Winter 2019 season. He followed that up with 28 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks in a 95-82 win last week in his first game of the season in Fridley. The eight-month layoff didn’t seem to bother Sames at all.

Andreas Vasiliu +10,782,318

Vasiliu had two double-doubles in two wins last week in two different leagues. In the Summerlin Open League he had 28 points and 15 rebounds in a 106-56 blowout win for Boomerang. On the very next night, Vasiliu had 31 points and 10 rebounds on 11-14 shooting from the field and 9-12 from deep in a 104-70 win for The Industry in the Summerlin Rec League.
