Triple Threat Set to End No Flex Zone's Win Streak

AJAX: Week 5 Predictions

By Chad Hines | Ajax League Coordinator

8:30 p.m. – No Flex Zone vs. Triple Threat

We’re at the halfway point in the season, and No Flex Zone has definitely come into great form now having won every game since taking that Week 1 loss against the Sounders. They head into Week 5 focussed and looking to keep their league-leading three-game win streak going with their matchup against Triple Threat.

Justin Lindo continues to be a force to reckon with and put together his most efficient game of the season last week and had 30 points shooting a ridiculous 85 percent from the field, 71 percent from behind the Arc knocking down five 3-pointers. He added 12 rebounds and 5 assists to the stat line for good measure. However, this week he’ll need to have that 3-point touch ready to go with his matchup against Roger James Jr!  RJ puts up a lot of shots and will make a lot of shots as he is our league’s second leading scorer for this Fall Season. Team Triple Threat also got a win last week, and will be hungry for another being given an opportunity to take on the league’s hottest team.

Chad Hines was told last week to not bet against Triple Threat! So taking heed of the advice, he is doubling down on Triple Threat to be the team that breaks NFZ’s three-game winning streak.

9:30 p.m. – OG’s vs. Sounders FS

OG’s are still in that losing funk and will be looking to have another opportunity at finally closing out their next opponent. The last time OG’s faced off against Sounders, the game went into OVERTIME! OG’s out hustled the Sounders, so do not be surprised if the OG’s bring that same mentality and drive for this late-night matchup. Sounders will also be looking to shake off the stench of their loss last week to the No Flex Zone.

This game will definitely be a game to tune into as both teams need to get a “W” in the win column to start off the second half of the season. Jovan Bailey has been stuffing that Stat sheet every time he steps out onto the floor for the Sounders. Last week he gave NFZ a lot of trouble and had 28 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. OG’s all season long have had difficulty closing teams out, and they will need a full 44 minute effort from the whole team in order to have a chance at grinding out a win against a difficult hard-nosed Sounders Squad.

Chad Hines is predicting another battle between these two teams but feels that the Sounders FS will ultimately come out with their fourth win of the season in this Week 5 late-evening matchup.
