The long Rhodes to 5,000 points

Douglas Rhodes contemplating if ball is in fact life

Douglas Rhodes, our league coordinator in Atlanta, just joined the 5,000 point club this week. He scored 22 points in Alpharetta on Thursday, making him the 57th player in UH history to score 5,000 or more points. Rhodes has averaged 16.0 points over the course of his 313-game career.

Milestones

While Rhodes just surpassed 5,000 points, a couple players could join him in the prestigious club this week.

Michael Swisher, a player in Dallas, is extremely close to getting his 5,00th point. He's so close in fact, that he only needs to make one field goal in his next game and that will be enough. He currently has 4,998 points.

Mohamed playing in the Dream League

Abdi Mohamed, who plays in two different leagues in Minnesota, currently has 4,982 points in his Ultimate Hoops career. He's been averaging 11.3 points per game this season. If he sticks with his average, he'll surpass 5,000 points in Fridley next Thursday.

There were also a couple milestones regarding games played recently.

Johnnie Brown has played in 498 UH games. Brown plays in both the open and vet leagues in Shelby. If he doesn't miss a game in the next week, he'll play in his 500th game on Wedesday, when Brown's YLie plays Goblin Skillz.

Bryan Munsell played his first game of the Winter season on Wednesday, which was a 75-73 loss in Bloomington South for his Guerrillas squad. That was Munsell's 400th game played in Ultimate Hoops, which makes him the 29th player to ever play 400 games in UH.
