In the first of an ongoing NBA CLONES series, our regional staff will match Ultimate Hoops League players with their NBA clones. First up, Kevin Durant.

Fred Dudley - Scottsdale League

From Donald Dangmuk, Regional Manager, West-Desert Region

Dudley and Durant both play small forward in their respective leagues. Dudley can shoot lights out from anywhere and can score at will, much like Durant. They both have a slight build and both are lengthy. Both create matchup issues for their opponents.

Dudley also plays for the Splash Brothers which makes this a no brainer for me.

Derrick Alston - Warrenville League

From Corin Chesterson, Regional Coordinator, Chicago

Alston is a 6’3, 230lbs forward, so his body type is not a close match to Durant's slim frame. Great shooting range – holds his follow through release, similar to KD.

Long and crafty behind the perimeter with the basketball. Deceptive quickness. Quiet demeanor but is the clear captain and leader of his Benchwarmers team. Hunger to win, competitive but will shake your hand and say good game following each game.

I could also see him leaving the Benchwarmers in a few seasons if things didn’t go right!

Ed Joyner – Florham Park League

From James Mooney, Regional Manager, Northeast Region

Joyner is a lanky 6'3" player who may be the top shooter in the Florham Park league. Joyner has the size to play near the paint, but rarely goes closer than 15 feet. At the same time, his team goes as he does.

Like KD, if Joyner doesn't play well, his team loses.
