GILBERT DRAFT: Week 2 Predictions

By Adam Butler | Gilbert Media Associate

Happy hump day Gilbert! It’s ya boy AB and I know everyone has been waiting all summer to watch some NBA Basketball, but for now we’ll watch even BETTER basketball with Ultimate Hoops back in action. Let’s get into these predictions.

7:30 p.m. - Generation Z vs. Team James

Despite an off shooting night last week from Omar Duran, Team James got the job done anyway. This week they play the young guns of Generation Z. Gen Z doesn’t have a weak spot in their starting lineup, all with very balanced scoring. Should be an interesting game but I’m taking the young guys.

Prediction: Generation Z by 4

7:30 p.m. - Terror Squad vs. Drip Too Hard

Shout out Lil Baby. Drip Too Hard came out firing heavy last week and brought all the trash talk with them. Christian Bower was in his bag with 36 and 18 last week. Meanwhile Terror Squad was without their captain Monte Jones. As long as Ray doesn’t have 15 points on 22 shots then they should be alright.

Prediction: Drip Too Hard by 11

8:30 p.m. - Full Court Pressure vs. Bombers

Bombers have proved that they have very little offensive firepower. And defensive. And...kind of lacking in everything. I mean. Mark might keep them in the game if he continues to average 40 a game. But other than that, I don’t see them competing in almost any game this season. Goes without saying:

Prediction: Full Court Pressure by 25

8:30 p.m. - Road Runners vs. D4G

Carlos Nosie decided he wanted to learn how to shoot last week, shooting a very efficient 7-12 from 3 and 16-26 total from the field. He’ll have a tough matchup with sharpshooter Tae Fox back in the lineup this week. Tae’s first game back this season will definitely warrant at least 30 shots.

Prediction: Road Runners by 7

That’s all for me folks. See you tonight!
