Pickup Ball Schedule

Once you've selected the times and have read the rules below, start inviting your friends and teammates to play Pickup Ball using the UH Events Planner.

UH Pickup Ball Rules

Game Play

First Come, First Play If current game ends and total players waiting is less than 5, losing team members shoot from top of the key for remaining spots in next game. Court sign up sheet (In effect if players ARE waiting for court play) Name order on list determines next team, must be present or skip to next name If player chooses NOT to play in game called, name moves to bottom of the list Shirts & ‘Skins’ not allowed -LTF or Ultimate Hoops jersey must be worn or player can bring personal dark (black) and white shirt to be worn accordingly

Game Scoring

Games to 11 Points, win by 2 points, end at 15 points 2 pointers worth 1 point, 3 pointers worth 2 points Players on court keep score Winner’s stay Fouls: ‘Call your own’

Clock Play

Game clock will run for 11-minutes (’11-score or 11-minutes’) Clock will be set and start once pick-up game play starts First team to game score before 11-minutes or team ahead at 11-minutes will determine winner Clock will stop for an injury, but NOT an argument- 30-second shot clock in effect (managed by players on court to avoid stalling)

Gym Rules

Respect the equipment and facility NO DUNKING No profanity, rough play or excessive arguments No duffle bags, food or drink in gym except water

If the gym or game play rules are not followed, player can be asked to leave and membership privileges can be revoked.
