What were you expecting, Bracket Gods? I’m a little blond girl.
Not quitting my day job…yet
It appears on paper that I may be the worst bracketologist the world —or ESPN—has ever seen.
Let me rephrase: The one year I turn to the professionals*, is the year my bracket falls apart literally at the seams long before the Sweet 16 rolls around.
Truth be told, I only sought help as an attempt to impress you guys. Who, it turns out, barely read my blog any way. A lot of good that did me.
I’m disappointed. I’m downtrodden. I’m actually pretty salty about it because it looks like I’m going to be out $20 in the office pool and that could have gone towards shoes or pizza.
I’m not out yet, though. In fact, my prediction for the Final Four still remains intact. And, pending a small act of God, Kansas is taking this Championship home. Mark my words, even the haters will be rocking Jayhawk sweatpants come April 5.
Enough about me. How are the rest of you?
Are you equally sad because President Obama is in the 99.9 percentile overshadowing Dickie V, and therefore thoroughly trouncing you, while still playing commander in chief and bombing distant lands? Yeah, I can image as a connoisseur of hoops that would be hard to take.
Don’t be too hard on yourself, though: Old Barack can probably outplay you on the court, too.
That was mean, wasn’t it? Let me make it up to you.

Make sure you write the total points scored for the championship game. Then scan or email your bracket to media@ultimatehoopsmn.com by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, March 25, 2011.
Life Time members also may drop their brackets off in person at the Ultimate Hoops media table near the basketball court prior to the first game at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26.
Now, you’ve been warned about my bracketology skills previously, but I’m still sticking with my pick from last week, the Celtics. I feel Cinderella-ish. Plus, the world needs an upset. Bring it home, Celts!
